Job Title: Regional Account Director

 Department: Sales

 Reports to: Vice President of Sales 

 FLSA Status:     Exempt    EEO: Sales Workers

Location(s): Peachtree City, GA; Seattle, WA

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads sales activity within the assigned region.  Works closely with Inside Sales Representative and Product Management to identify and close opportunities.
  • Works with Product Management, Business Development Manager and Inside Sales to develop sales forecast and account plans for responsible territory.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing new customer opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Coordinates joint calls with strategic distribution partners to provide technical assistance/training as well as identify and secure opportunities.
  • Supports Product Management in identifying potential distribution lines which complement the organizations current portfolio.  
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
  • Conducts sales negotiations with clients that provides optimal profit for the company and quality service to the customer.
  • Utilizes CRM system to document interaction with customers and ensure effective management of opportunities and leads.
  • Obtains competitive information and intelligence at responsible accounts.
  • Obtains new PMA development applications and understands Wencor/Dixie core competencies.
  • Manages Assigned travel budget.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, and government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to make effective presentations to individuals and groups.  Multilingual capabilities are important for some customer groups.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in many situations.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be fluent with MS Office software and other computer applications generally.
  • Must have general aviation knowledge.
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
  • Previous sales experience.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering, MBA degree preferred. Ten years aerospace industry experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Sales experience expected.
