Job Title: Customer Strategic Account Program Manager    

Department: Strategic Accounts

Reports to: VP, Strategic Accounts

FLSA Status: Exempt         EEO: Mid-Level

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

 

Summary:

Provide leadership and vision to the customer's organization by working with Senior Management to set long range and annual growth and efficiency goals for their MRO shop operations.  Guide the development of strategies to achieve these goals while staying within identified budget.  Review the daily function and operation of all production shops, logistics, quality control, customer service with the goal of finding improvements in efficiency and cost effectiveness. Develop an effective flow of product that meets customer expectation while meeting company forecasted expectations.  Enhance the team's cohesiveness through suggestions on people development, company strategy, and overall direction. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop an operational plan and budget.
  • Research and create analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the company in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.
  • Help identify P&L cost and overhead containment, pricing policies, inventory, capital expenses, and any other aspects that affect the bottom line profitability of the organization
  • Provide guidance for analyzing and assessing the company's performance against the identified objectives and goals. Help define and correct obstacles to set the course of meeting goals.
  • Assist in defining financial sustainability operational requirements during the development of business opportunities
  • Determine staffing requirements, allocate departmentally as required.
  • Communicate with sales and customer service team on areas that require attention.
  • Identifies new processes and procedures which can improve time management, reduce labor hours and recover components which promote profits and increase value to the customer.
  • Leads the New Product Development team on new opportunities presented by customers and sales staff.
  • Ability to travel 75%+
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies. 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Strong analytical understanding and interpretation of financial statements.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Experience in the quality control and new product development within the aviation industry.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related specialty is required. Master's degree in business is preferred. 5 or more years as a leader of a significant business unit; 10 or more years' experience in aerospace production.
