Job Title: Product Line Leader

Job Summary:

Manage all aspects of assigned product line(s), with focus on P&L profitability and growth,  Supply Partner relationship management, and supporting development of compelling value propositions.


Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • P&L owner responsible for all aspects required to successful run a small business comprised of pre-defined product line(s).
  • Responsible for establishing pricing strategy for both distribution and PMA parts within assigned product line(s).  Includes PMA and OEM competition understanding, capture rate analysis and coordination with sales teams and BDMs
  • Focal for analysis and strategic leadership on all complex RFPs anticipated to result in contract execution while setting general pricing and terms guidelines for all pricing agreements and catalogs.
  • Collaborates with Sales Operations and Product Development to launch New PMA within assigned product-lines as well as training sales team in both new PMAs, and new supply partner products.
  • Responsible for Top 100 focus parts, ensuring continued retention with customer base
  • Ensure that Wencor has market intelligence (competition, customers, and pricing).
  • Understand the customers (their fleet and maintenance, scope, and product penetration).
  • Train or coordinate supply partner engagement to ensure sales teams understanding of technical aspects of key systems/ parts relations, customer opportunities
  • Be the main liaison with internal teams (including purchasing, operations, QC, PD, Engineering, etc.) on the assigned Wencor supply partner and PMA parts: including regular communications, reporting, problem resolution, escalation of issues, discussion of opportunities, etc.
  • Responsible to help ensure slow moving supply partner inventory, OEM samples and 'At Risk' PMA are sold and sets appropriate inventory levels for new product-line additions

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to translate analysis from Pricing and Analytics team into action
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High propensity for mechanical concepts. 
  • High degree of communication, business and marketing skills
  • High degree of industry knowledge.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and focused on results.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marketing or related field
  • MBA degree preferred
  • Five years of related experience and/or training specifically aligned with defined product line(s); or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
