Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Director



Maintain and develop local and multi-site corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program while ensuring compliance, and identifying and ensuring the mitigation of any unique occupational hazards, risks, or potential barriers associated with particular locations based on work processes, operations, equipment, facility layout or location, skill set of employees, cultural barriers, etc. Employee shall involve local personnel in EHS program maintenance and development, while utilizing a systematic safety management approach. Employee shall be expected to maintain relationships with local management, regularly audit and communicate location-specific safety metrics, set clear expectations, and objectives, share safety education and best practices, regularly communicate transparent EHS metrics to relevant business managers.


Employee shall also manage Facilities/Maintenance workers for Peachtree City, GA and Springville, UT locations. Maintenance/Facilities responsibilities include holding regular communication, setting clear objectives, establishing Key Performance Indicators, and personnel development. Employee shall exhibit safe and cost-effective management of Facilities/Maintenance, while demonstrating a clear understanding of facility operations, and equipment maintenance/repair requirements.

Desired Experience

  • Direct and oversee the corporate safety function for multiple facilities
  • Conduct due diligence projects (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures)
  • Monitor regulatory arena for new/changing regulations and rulemaking
  • Communicated with all business units pertaining to EHS
  • Conduct comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety audits
  • Utilize comprehensive EHS metrics and KPIs for all business units
  • Provided recommendations to executive management, and consult business units
  • Ability to secure budgetary resources
  • Provide support for business units during regulatory inquiries
  • Conduct global, regional and divisional EHS meetings and/or calls
  • Workers' compensation process management


Work Experience


8 to 10 years of relevant work experience



Education Requirements


Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university*, master's degree and knowledge of finance preferred.

*Degree should be from regionally accredited university. (ABET or ATMAE or equivalent)


Certification/ Licensure (desired)


CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or professional Engineer.  Also Six Sigma Black Belt or the ability to become certificated.
