Job Title: Sr. Data Analytics Specialist [W]

Wencor Group is currently looking for a Sr. Data Analytics Specialist to organize our analytics function and develop a team of analysts. This role will implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights, dashboards and key performance indicators.

The ideal candidate should have strong logical reasoning skills and business intelligence. The ability to communicate effectively is essential. The primary goal of this role is to enhance the Wencor Group business through the use of data and to drive high performance results and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategies for effective data analysis and reporting;
  • Selecting, configuring and implementing analytics solutions;
  • Leading and developing a team of data analysts;
  • Understand business needs and objectives;
  • Partnering with business leaders to identify areas of opportunity to drive growth
  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting;
  • Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources;
  • Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality;
  • Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. operations, IT, customer feedback);
  • Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights;
  • Ability to correlate Statistical analysis/environmental trend analysis to key business indicators;
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance;
  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends.


  • Proven experience as a Data Analytics Specialist with business impact, or related field
  • Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with dashboard designs and business intelligence tools
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of Excel, R and SQL;
  • Superb communication skills
  • Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving aptitude

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.  Exhibits honest and ethical behavior.  Must have excellent computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.  Must be able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Education Requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or related field, a Master's degree preferred; and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
